With Space Between designs and facilitates joyful, soulful learning experiences. We work with individuals, teams, and organizations to build community by exploring the relationships we have with ourselves, others, and the world around us. Our goal is to create intentional spaces that center creativity, joy, and community —supporting our clients to navigate a changing world with a stronger sense of connection and compassion.

  • As a consultant or advisor, I take on 1-2 larger projects each year. Some of my areas of expertise are Design/UX Research, Learning Design, and Community Design. I apply participatory, community co-design methods to the research process. I have experience leading design teams and large, social impact projects. I value centering community voice throughout the design process. Contact me to share more about your project!

  • I love working directly with individuals to provide 1:1 Coaching. I’ve provided coaching and mentorship on Community Design, Leadership, Participatory Design Research methods, Confident Communication and Facilitation. My main goal is to support you in recognizing your own strengths and feel more confident standing in them.

meet Alysha,
Founder and Lead Facilitator

Alysha is the Founder and Principal Consultant of With Space Between. She is a Facilitator, Design Researcher, and Creative Strategist passionate about creating learning experiences that cultivate community, build meaningful relationships, and develop confidence. Always centering joy and creativity, she has over 10 years of experience working with brands and organizations to co-create experiences that drive towards positive change through design. She has led and developed community strategies across a wide range of sectors and has deep expertise in community design.

I am intentional about being responsive to what’s happening between people in a room and creating experiences that set people up to shine, connect meaningfully in new ways, and to feel sincerely seen. It’s my deep love and belief in people that called me to start With Space Between.”

Prior to starting With Space Between, Alysha was a Design Director at IDEO developing the craft of community co-design – focused primarily on an education portfolio. She began her career as a public school teacher with the New York City Department of Education, which is the foundation of her approach. She values learning, curiosity, and community care. She holds an Ed.M from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a BFA from Howard University. Additionally, she is a published poet, with her book "I Wrote This to Heal" being an intimate collection of poems and essays written on a journey towards radical self-love.
